“No Goddess” is a short that details the struggles of a teenager at odds with her parents. Amy wishes to pursue acting, but her parents believe pursuing acting is a waste of time. Amy rebels against her parents controlling behavior by sleeping around. Both her parents are upset about her behavior when they find out. In the end, Amy goes to God with her problems and finds peace. Written through narrative short monologues and poetry, “No Goddess” captures this story in an innovative manner.

“The Dreamer” details the common inner conflict when one pursues his/her dreams. A woman sits at a bench, drinking coffee, and mulling over her desire to pursue her dreams without doubt, fear, and condemnation. Written in a poetic fashion, West examines the two sides to her thought life. One side that is hopeful, and energetic, and passionate about her dreams, and the other side of her that is doubtful, pragmatic, and condemning.
